About

This blog is written by students and staff of Go Higher,  Liverpool University’s unique one-year, part-time access Diploma for people aged 20 + without the traditional entry qualifications for degree-level study.  The programme has a long history of helping hundreds of talented individuals in to higher education, many of them people who had assumed that university was beyond their reach.

Go Higher students typically progress to undergraduate programmes at the University of Liverpool and beyond. This year our students have been offered places on History, English, Business Studies, Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, Egyptology, Law – there are many more disciplines across the arts, humanities and social sciences available too, both as single honours  or combined. Many of our students have gone on to do postgraduate degrees and some doctorates. Take a look at our video below.

Applications for entry September 2020 close at the end of June. For information about applying visit www.liverpool.ac.uk/gohigher  or email gohigher@liverpool.ac.uk

  1. Hi my intentions is to complete a undergraduate degree in egyptology. I have just been introduced to your “gohigher”access course and i like the idea of doing this course.
I have just a few question if you could ablige.
What is the cost of this course and can it be funded?
What sort of subjects would be covered?
Is there exams at the end of the course?
As enrolment closes this month could i please have a quick answer as i dont want to miss the deadline.
    kindest regards Linda Brown

    1. Hi Linda – we have been a little late responding to you. Hopefully you have contacted us via our University web and discovered the answers you need. If not, please email gohigher@livepool.ac.uk and we will get back to you asap.

      Thanks, Claire
